Litigation Attorney – Round Rock, TX, office
Seeking a litigation attorney with 2-5 years of experience, who is eager to learn, and take on new areas.
The position involves zoom hearings, motions, potentially in person court appearances.
A good fit is someone good on deadlines, good with communication, ready to jump in and get busy in a busy department with 12 attorneys, and 7 support staff.
Someone personable and professional with client relations, in person and on paper.
The person who fills this position will be representing appraisal districts, appraisal review boards, and related entities.
Caseload will be big but primarily comprised of repeat customers.
The candidate should be able, or keen, to run a litigation docket, someone comfortable working within the court system.
This attorney can see cases through to settlement; potential is there for them to be negotiating.
The position comes with a full (phenomenal) benefits suite: full health insurance paid for employee and all dependents (full family), 401k match at 25%, options for dental, vision, etc. generous holidays/PTO.
Additional to base salary is an annual 15-20k in potential bonuses, based on performance.
There is a shareholder track, conversation happens after a few years of high performance.
Billable hours: average annually between 1800-1900 – ramp up expected over the first year.
The position is in-office as needed, attending a couple conferences per year, and off-site meetings as required, otherwise it’s a Monday through Friday in-office position with day trips to counties.
Relaxed and collegial work environment – blue jeans is ok for average days at the office, with Sunday best reserved for court or client meetings, simply dressing professionally, but blue collar on a regular basis, is all good.
