Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation using QuickBooks.
• Follow up on overdue accounts through professional negotiation and effective communication to secure payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies, resolve billing issues, and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct data entry with high accuracy for journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with revenue cycle management tasks related to medical billing, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and financial analysis.
• Utilize various financial software tools such as QuickBooks.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries via phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on account analysis, journal entries, and month-end closing activities involving double entry bookkeeping and debits & credits.

Experience

• Proven experience in billing or collections within a healthcare setting or financial services industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, SOX compliance requirements, and governmental or non-profit accounting practices.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation and dispute resolution to effectively collect overdue accounts while maintaining positive relationships.
• Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks.
• Proficiency in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and journal entries with high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills combined with effective phone etiquette and customer service capabilities are essential for success in this role.
