Full Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for an Owners Representative for a safety oversight position located in Garvin, Minnesota. The Owners Representative will provide safety oversight for all power construction activities taking place on-site for gas turbine construction.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have at least 7+ years of safety oversight and previous experience as a owners rep.
Owner’s Representative Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recognizing, monitoring, and making recommendations to correct workplace safety hazards through on-site audits, consulting, ergonomic assessments, and interventions according to OSHA and other regulatory agencies; and collaborating on safety policy development and training.
- Conduct site safety orientations.
- Participate in Pre-Job Safety Reviews and project planning to ensure successful and safe execution of work tasks.
- Provide coaching to employees on safety practices.
- Conduct a weekly ‘all hands safety meeting’.
- Manage all hot work permitting.
- Oversee all incident investigations.
- Generate all required documentation in SiteDocs.
Requirements of the Owner’s Representative:
- At least 5+ years safety oversight experience for new construction builds, preferably gas related projects
- Previous experience working with utility contractors, and site personnel
- Working knowledge of OSHA Compliance.
- Proficient with Microsoft office
Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
