Sunshine Children’s Home and Rehab Center is a 122-bed licensed nursing facility, located in Ossining , New York, specializing in the care and treatment of medically complex children who require post-acute, rehabilitative care.

Sunshine is seeking Full -Time Materials Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and organized Materials Assistant to support daily warehouse, inventory, and materials handling operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials and supplies to ensure smooth operations across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect materials for damage, accuracy, and quality upon arrival
• Organize, label, and store materials in designated areas
• Pick, pack, and distribute materials to internal departments or job sites
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts/audits
• Update inventory systems and maintain organized records
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (if certified)
• Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, safe, and organized
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or materials handling experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
