Northeast Sales Manager Full Time NEW

TH Daniels Global Executive Search & Selection have partnered with a global manufacturer of specialty chemical additives, to recruit a Sales Manager for their East Coast business.

This is a high‑impact commercial and technical sales role within the organisation, responsible for driving growth through consultative, value‑based selling of specialty additives. The position covers the Northeast territory and requires a strong field presence. The successful candidate will bring deep technical understanding of performance chemicals alongside proven territory sales experience to grow existing accounts and develop new market opportunities across coatings, construction, and industrial applications.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, with Chemistry or Chemical Engineering highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct territory sales experience within the chemical industry.
• Performance chemicals experience strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of laboratory experience in formulations or application testing preferred.
• Experience selling specialty additives such as defoamers, wetting agents, dispersants, thickeners, wax dispersions, micronized waxes, or powder additives.
• Must be based in the Northeast region (preferred: NY, NJ, PA, DE).

Key Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Drive territory growth through new market and customer prospecting.
• Develop and manage customer relationships using a technical project‑selling approach.
• Sell value‑added solutions to customers across coatings, adhesives, inks, and construction markets.
• Manage an existing territory valued at approximately $3–5MM while developing $1–2MM of additional business potential in the short to mid‑term.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time within the territory.
