About the Opportunity

A systematic investment team is hiring Quantitative Researchers to build AI-driven trading signals across global equity markets. You’ll apply modern machine learning to proprietary datasets at scale with access to substantial compute and a research environment built around shipping real alpha.

The team is flat, fast-moving, and deeply technical. Researchers own the full pipeline: ideation, data, modeling, evaluation, and live deployment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, train, and evaluate ML models on large, noisy, real-world datasets to generate novel trading signals
• Own research end-to-end from problem framing through to production signals with measurable PnL impact
• Extend state-of-the-art methods (deep learning, sequence modeling, representation learning, NLP) and adapt them to financial prediction problems
• Work with proprietary and alternative data sources alongside large-scale market data
• Collaborate closely with senior researchers, engineers, and portfolio managers

What We’re Looking For

• PhD (or equivalent research track record) in machine learning, CS, statistics, physics, applied math, or a related quantitative field
• Strong publication, competition, or applied research portfolio demonstrating rigor with ML over large datasets
• Fluency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow)
• Comfort in distributed/cluster compute environments and solid software engineering hygiene (source control, testing, reproducibility)
• Statistical intuition awareness of overfitting, signal vs. noise, and the failure modes of ML on financial data
• High degree of ownership; excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have

• Experience with sequential modeling, time series forecasting, or NLP on unstructured data
• Background working with alternative data (text, satellite, web, transactional)
• Prior exposure to systematic trading, alpha research, or quantitative finance
