Overview
Veeco is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to lead advanced process development for As/P- (Arsenic Phosphide) based semiconductor materials and devices. This role requires deep technical expertise in III‑V epitaxy, hands‑on MOCVD reactor operation, and the ability to drive innovation across multiple product development programs. You will work at the intersection of technology development, engineering collaboration, and customer‑facing technical leadership—shaping future Veeco products and engaging directly with world‑leading researchers and engineers.

Qualifications
PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related Engineering discipline and 3+ years of experience in epitaxial growth of compound semiconductor optoelectronic devices; or a Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related Engineering discipline and 6+ years of experience is required. 3+ years of experience in semiconductor materials characterization is a must.

Salary And Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $140,000—$178,000, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
