Equipment Yard Assistant Full Time

We’re looking for a dependable Equipment Yard Assistant who’s experienced in operating equipment, particularly forklifts, and has basic carpentry skills. Your role will involve preparing and securing loads, shipping and receiving of deliveries, building crates and packaging for shipping, and transporting parts and materials to job sites as needed. This job is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, enjoys working on a team and is committed to doing the job right.

Primary Duties:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Manage shipping and receiving of deliveries
• Perform basic carpentry tasks, including building shipping crates and preparing packages.
• Secure loads properly for transportation to ensure safety.
• Transport parts and materials to various job sites or locations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the equipment yard.
• Operate a pressure washer in equipment cleaning tasks.
• Purchasing small tooling and supplies / safety PPE.
• Assist team members with yard and warehouse tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a federal background check / DBIDs for access to secure sites
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment.
• Basic carpentry skills (comfortable with using hand and power tools).
• Understanding or willingness to learn proper load securement techniques.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
