Business Development & Recruitment Specialist – Manufacturing
Company: Sea Isle City Recruiting (SIC Recruiting)
Location: Remote, United States
Position Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor (1099)
Sea Isle City Recruiting is a manufacturing-focused recruiting firm that supports clients through talent acquisition, candidate evaluation, candidate placement, employer branding, and onboarding-related support. This may also include companies in Logistics and Construction. The firm’s work is centered on strategic sourcing, recruiting execution, and helping manufacturing employers identify and engage qualified talent for critical hires.
Position Overview
Sea Isle City Recruiting is seeking a Business Development & Recruitment Specialist – Manufacturing to support both recruiting execution and true business development activity across U.S.-based manufacturing searches. This remote 1099 contractor role is designed for a professional who can contribute to candidate sourcing, recruitment-assisted coordination, client-facing outreach support, pipeline development, and business growth initiatives while maintaining speed, professionalism, and process accuracy.
This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable operating independently, moving work forward without heavy supervision, and balancing sales recruiting deliverables with business development support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute recruiting support across active manufacturing and professional searches, including sourcing, candidate outreach, screening support, interview coordination, follow-up communication, and status tracking.
· Build and maintain candidate pipelines for active searches by identifying qualified talent through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach campaigns.
· Develop talent pools for recurring and anticipated manufacturing hiring needs to improve speed and search readiness.
· Maintain accurate daily activity, candidate records, workflow updates, and search tracking within Jarvi.tech and related internal systems.
· Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, search documentation, and recruiting process follow-through across multiple open assignments.
· Support client delivery by helping maintain organized search progress updates, candidate flow, and recruiting-related communication standards.
· Translate client opportunities into compelling candidate messaging that supports employer branding and improves candidate engagement.
· Assist with business development efforts by researching target manufacturing companies, identifying prospective clients, mapping decision-makers, and supporting outreach campaigns.
· Help generate business development activity through LinkedIn outreach, referral strategies, lead tracking, and market research tied to SIC Recruiting’s target sectors.
· Support internal follow-up on prospective client conversations, outreach campaigns, pipeline organization, and business development reporting.
Performance Expectations
Success in this role will be measured by execution, responsiveness, organization, and contributions to both recruiting operations and business development activity.
· Maintain assisted pipeline activity of 20-40 qualified candidates per search, depending on search complexity and level.
· Support 3-10 active searches simultaneously while maintaining organization, follow-up discipline, and search accuracy.
· Meet client outreach and response rate expectations through consistent prospecting, candidate follow-up, and business development activity.
· Ensure timely communication standards, with responses and follow-up activity typically completed within 1-24 hours during active work periods.
· Maintain accurate daily CRM/ATS updates in Jarvi.tech, including candidate activity, outreach notes, search status updates, and pipeline movement.
· Contribute to measurable search progress and business development pipeline activity through consistent outbound execution and process ownership.
Qualifications
· Experience in sales, sourcing, talent acquisition, business development support, or a related search execution function.
· Strong knowledge of sourcing methods, outreach strategy, recruiting AI workflow management, and activity tracking.
· Ability to engage candidates professionally and help support outreach to prospective clients and referral sources.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, responsive approach.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines, communication standards, and activity expectations.
· Strong attention to detail, organization, urgency, and follow-through.
· Comfort using CRM/ATS platforms and digital recruiting tools; experience with Jarvi.tech, LinkedIn, email outreach, and scheduling systems is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
· Experience supporting manufacturing recruitment, professional search, executive search, or business development within a recruiting or staffing environment is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is hungry, proactive, organized, and comfortable balancing recruiting execution with outbound business development support. This person understands that candidate flow, client communication, and search process discipline directly affect revenue, service quality, and long-term client relationships.
This individual should be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate with urgency, maintain clean systems and records, and confidently contribute to both talent pipeline development and growth-oriented outreach efforts.
Independent Contractor Structure
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a W2 employee position.
The selected professional will be engaged as an independent contractor and is expected to manage their work with a high level of ownership, professionalism, and accountability.
· Flexible schedule, but availability must align with business needs, active search deadlines, client expectations, and communication standards.
· Contractors are expected to provide reliable remote work capability and manage day-to-day execution independently.
· Compensation will be structured, per-placement support, or a blended model, depending on experience, scope of work, and overall fit.

This position directly supports Sea Isle City Recruiting’s ability to deliver high-quality recruiting execution while also strengthening the firm’s business development capacity within manufacturing markets.
