This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica to apply for this role.
Role Summary
You will design and implement robust automated integration testing for core business applications using SmartBear TestComplete. This role focuses on improving software quality, increasing test coverage, and integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated integration tests using SmartBear TestComplete.
- Expand automated test coverage across core applications and critical workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define testing requirements.
- Create reusable test scripts, frameworks, and utilities to improve efficiency.
- Execute, monitor, and analyze test runs to identify defects and regressions.
- Document test cases, test plans, and automation processes.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automation scripts and testing environments.
- Contribute to QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements – Must-haves
- Proven experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with SmartBear TestComplete.
- Experience building and maintaining automated integration tests.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
- Experience testing desktop, web, or enterprise applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves (optional)
- Experience integrating TestComplete with CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages used in test automation.
- Experience with API or service-layer testing.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
