IFTA/ELD Specialist Full Time NEW

TC Services, Inc., a family-owned administrative corporation, has an opening for an IFTA/ELD Specialist in our Valparaiso, IN, office. This position is responsible for accurate completion and timely filing of various federal and state forms related to fuel taxes and commercial transportation permits. Previous IFTA, ELD, and compliance experience is preferred but not required.

Ideal candidates are technology oriented; possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; comfortable in team, one-on-one and self-directed learning/training environments; proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Attention to detail is critical in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process quarterly fuel taxes and manage annual permit renewals for multiple motor carriers, utilizing a variety of online accounts
• Process overweight, liquor, and other required motor carrier permits
• Maintain compliance for the company’s UCR and MCS-150
• Order all commercial driver permits as required by DOT and/or state
• Monitor commercial driver electronic logs and usage

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Excel and Word with the ability to create, modify and analyze spreadsheets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Work quickly and accurately with a large volume and high-pressure situations
• Experience working in office environment, proficient with computers, scanning, copier and general office equipment.
• Experience in the transportation industry is a plus

Education and Experience:

• Data Entry: 2 years (Required)

• DOT Regulations: 1 year (Preferred)
• Recordkeeping: 1 year (Preferred)

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
