Charleston Lead Wedding Planner Full Time NEW

We are seeking a Charleston-based Lead Wedding Planner to serve as our on-the-ground presence in the Charleston market. This role combines event execution, client coordination, and local relationship building, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys being deeply embedded in their market.

The Charleston Lead Planner will manage and execute approximately 80 weddings per year, serving as the primary planner/coordinator for assigned clients. In addition to event responsibilities, this role will actively build and maintain relationships with local venues and vendors, attend industry events, and represent the company within the Charleston market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination for approximately 80 weddings annually
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients during the planning and execution process
• Execute wedding days, ensuring timelines and logistics run smoothly
• Attend venue walk-throughs, site visits, and client meetings locally
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Charleston venues and vendors
• Represent the company at networking events, mixers, and industry functions
• Act as the local market lead, providing insight and feedback on trends, venues, and opportunities
• Collaborate with internal team members to ensure consistency and quality across all events
• Travel as needed for select events or team support

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of wedding planning or coordination experience
• Strong knowledge of the Charleston wedding market preferred
• Experience managing a high volume of events
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to work independently while representing the brand at a high level
• Comfortable attending events, networking, and building vendor partnerships
• Willingness to work weekends and a flexible schedule
