Solution Architect Intern (North America Cloud & AI) – Sunnyvale Full Time NEW

Responsibility:

1.Support AI MaaS Solutions Work: As an intern on the AI Solutions Architect (SA) team for international business, assist the SA team in supporting the AI MaaS (Model-as-a-Service) sales team to expand large AI model engagements with global customers, contributing to the growth of Alibaba’s large model token consumption in overseas markets.

2.Participate in Client Technical Discussions: Assist the team in engaging with global clients on AI business requirements and technical architecture discussions; learn to understand client needs and participate in AI MaaS opportunity identification and solution development.

3.Support Solution Design: Leverage Alibaba Cloud’s Bailian platform and its suite of large models—including Qwen, Wan, and related cloud services such as GPU instances, PAI, ECS, databases—to assist in designing feasible AI and cloud solutions for customer requirements.

4.Industry Research & Solution Support: Based on clients’ industries and specific use cases (e.g., social platforms, model marketplaces, video platforms, AI data services, etc.), assist in solution preparation covering model selection, architecture design, prompt engineering, RAG implementation, and agent development.

5.Demo Development & Presentation Support: Participate in designing and developing demos aligned with client scenarios, assist the team in product demonstrations and technical discussions.

Basic Qualifications

1.Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s students preferred.

2.Availability: Minimum 3 days per week on-site, able to commit to at least 3 months of internship.

3.AI Technical Skills: ○ Familiar with and regularly uses leading large language models such as Qwen, Wan, Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, etc., with basic understanding of LLM technical principles. ○ Basic ability or strong willingness to learn AI application development using mainstream frameworks and tools (e.g., Alibaba Cloud Bailian, Claude Code, LangChain, n8n, Dify, MCP, etc.).

4.AI Business Understanding: Basic awareness of the Generative AI market landscape and vertical industry applications; follows advancements in large models, agent frameworks, and industry trends. Prior experience building AI demos or rapid prototyping through vibe coding is a plus.

5.AI Algorithm Fundamentals (Preferred): Familiarity with basic concepts of large model fine-tuning (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA) and PEFT principles. Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud PAI, Hugging Face, or similar platforms is a plus.

6.Cloud Fundamental Understandings: Basic understanding of cloud computing and AI infrastructure concepts. Practical experience with cloud environments is preferred, including setting up cloud services and invoking AI models.

7.Mindset: Fast learner, self-motivated, passionate about AI innovation, and adaptable to dynamic, fast-paced work environments.

8.Global Communication: Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to participate independently in English-language meetings and daily communications. Overseas study or work experience is a plus. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
