About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Data Analyst to join our team supporting the VA Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that directly impact the lives of Veterans. This position is ideal for an early-career analyst with a solid foundation in statistics, programming, and data-driven problem solving who is eager to grow within a mission-focused environment.

You will analyze and prepare data for modeling and ad hoc analyses, develop advanced algorithms to address large-dimensionality problems efficiently, and implement statistical and data mining techniques such as hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes. Collaboration with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings effectively will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will evaluate emerging datasets and technologies that can enhance analytical capabilities, contributing to innovative solutions that support Veterans’ benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• 1+ years of hands-on data analytics experience
• Experience preparing data for advanced analytics projects
• Proficiency with advanced analytics concepts and algorithms such as Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Monte Carlo methods, Survival Analysis, and Simulation
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R programming languages
• Ability to obtain a Background Investigation Clearance
