What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and electronic mail
- Research customer information using appropriate systems and policies to effectively resolve issues
- Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary
- Comply with State and Federal regulations, staying current on policies and procedures
- Recommend products to enhance customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred)
- Availability for training lasting 14 to 16 weeks
- Distraction-free environment for taking back-to-back calls
- High-speed internet access
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Basic medical/dental terminology knowledge
- Experience with contract interpretation in the health insurance field
