About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join our dynamic web development team. This remote position is based in Latin America and requires working within the EST/PST time zones. As a Senior Engineer at Azumo, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing our web applications. You will collaborate with talented engineers and product managers to create innovative solutions that meet business needs and exceed user expectations. Your expertise in React, Node.js, and GraphQL will be instrumental in architecting scalable, efficient, and maintainable software. The ideal candidate is self-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision, and passionate about delivering high-quality JavaScript applications that are well-factored and thoroughly tested.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years specifically working with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and GraphQL. A strong background in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Node.js is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of front-end coding practices and experience in designing and implementing complex applications. A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in backend development using languages like Java or Node.js, and familiarity with RESTful web services, SQL, and NoSQL databases. Additional knowledge of web servers, UI/UX design, automated testing, and multiple programming languages will be considered advantageous. Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain existing Typescript and JavaScript codebases to improve performance, stability, and scalability.
• Architect application frameworks and collaborate with team members to integrate third-party APIs and services seamlessly.
• Design the overall application architecture, including component hierarchy, authentication mechanisms, error handling, and security protocols.
• Implement and optimize front-end build, deployment, and continuous integration pipelines to ensure efficient delivery cycles.
• Work closely with development teams and product managers to brainstorm, design, and implement innovative software solutions.
• Design client-side and server-side architectures, ensuring robust and scalable systems that align with business requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high-quality standards and maintainability.
