Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Focused)

We’re working with an a16z-backed AI startup building the operating system for federal procurement — a product already being used across the national security ecosystem.

They’re hiring a hands-on engineer to act as a de facto tech lead, owning the product experience end-to-end.

This is a strong fit for someone who:

• is frontend-leaning
• cares deeply about product quality and UX
• but is still comfortable working across the stack

What You’ll Do

• Own and ship user-facing features end-to-end
• Drive frontend architecture (React / TypeScript) and product quality
• Build polished, intuitive workflows, not just functional systems
• Contribute across the stack (APIs, backend logic, data models)
• Partner closely with product + design to shape real user experiences
• Set a high technical bar through code reviews and mentorship
• Operate with high ownership in a fast-moving environment

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong frontend foundation (React, TypeScript)
• Ability to work across the full stack
• Experience building user-facing SaaS or product-driven applications
• Clear product sense / design intuition (cares how things feel)
• Experience in startup or high-ownership environments
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shipping quickly

Nice to Have

• Experience at product-led companies (Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, etc.)
• Exposure to AI / LLM-powered systems
• Experience with workflow-heavy or CRM-like products
• Prior tech lead or mentorship experience
