Role Description This is a remote contract role for a 10x AI Engineer at 8 Figure Agency. The AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize AI-driven solutions that streamline agency back-end operations, including workflows for fulfillment, project management, client reporting, and internal collaboration. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying automation opportunities, integrating APIs and AI tools, building prototypes and production-ready systems, and maintaining robust, well-documented code. The role also involves working closely with operations and strategy teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions, experimenting with new AI technologies, and continuously improving performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning projects end-to-end, from discovery and architecture to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering foundations, including experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) and building production-grade systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning, preferably including LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Proficiency in systems design and architecture, including designing scalable, reliable, and secure back-end services and integrations.
• Experience with APIs, automation platforms, and third-party integrations (e.g., CRM, project management, and marketing tools used by agencies).
• Comfort with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure; CI/CD; monitoring and logging).
• Ability to translate business and operations problems into technical requirements and implement practical, high-leverage solutions.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment.
• Proven track record of independently owning and delivering complex technical projects, ideally in a startup or agency environment.
• Experience building tools or systems for agencies, services businesses, or operations teams is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
