About Gilda’s Club South Florida
Gilda’s Club South Florida exists to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Founded in memory of comedian Gilda Radner, the organization was built on her vision of a welcoming place where no one faces cancer alone.
Gilda’s Club South Florida opened its red doors in 1997 as the second affiliate of the Cancer Support Community. Established by two families in memory of their daughters, the Club was created to serve individuals and families across the tri-county area. Today, Gilda’s Club South Florida is the region’s largest provider of free psychosocial cancer support, serving more than 4,500 adults and children annually. Programs include support groups, education, healthy living classes, resource navigation, and cancer prevention, transition, and survivorship services. Gilda’s Club South Florida is a licensed affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, the largest global network of psychosocial cancer support.

Position Summary
The Social Worker plays a key leadership role in advancing Gilda’s Club South Florida’s mission by overseeing the delivery of high-quality, culturally responsive psychosocial cancer support across Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Reporting to the Vice President of Programs & Services, this position combines clinical practice, staff supervision, community outreach, and program development to ensure individuals and families impacted by cancer receive comprehensive, accessible support.
The Social Worker provides direct clinical services, including individual therapy, support groups, and Customized Membership Plans, while supervising professional staff and graduate students to promote clinical excellence and professional growth. This role also builds and maintains strong partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations, supports outreach and recruitment efforts, and contributes to program evaluation, grant reporting, and data collection. The ideal candidate is a bilingual, mission-driven leader with a strong clinical foundation, a commitment to equity and cultural humility, and a passion for strengthening community-based cancer support.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
