Job Title: Investment Banking Analyst or Associate
Location: Los Angeles, CA

About the Firm:
We are partnering with a prestigious global elite boutique investment bank that is actively expanding its Los Angeles-based Technology & Media investment banking team. Renowned for its deep sector expertise, rigorous analytical approach, and consistent execution of high-profile transactions, this team plays a pivotal role in advising leading companies and investors across the rapidly evolving tech and media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates, across the technology and media sectors
• Build and maintain complex financial models (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, trading comps)
• Prepare pitch materials, client presentations, and confidential information memoranda (CIMs)
• Conduct market, industry, and company research to support strategic advisory work
• Assist in due diligence, data room management, and coordination with legal, accounting, and other advisors
• Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions
• Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential opportunities and preparing outreach materials

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time Investment Banking experience, ideally with exposure to M&A transactions
• Strong technical skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a proactive mindset
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and desire to learn

Preferred Experience:

• Prior exposure to Technology or Media sectors is a plus but not required
• Experience working at a boutique, middle-market, or bulge-bracket investment bank
