Software Engineer — Atlas Full Time

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Software Engineer — Atlas. The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Atlas’s brand tracking and analytics capabilities. Daily tasks include implementing new features, improving performance, writing clean and testable code, and collaborating with product and data teams to integrate AI and data sources. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architecture and technical design decisions. The Software Engineer will work independently in a distributed environment while maintaining clear, proactive communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality applications.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, building and maintaining APIs, services, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in modern codebases.
• Experience with cloud-based environments, version control (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with data-intensive products, analytics platforms, or AI/ML integrations is a plus.
