Auto Body Paint Prep/helper Full Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Auto Body Paint Prep Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting with vehicle preparation for painting, ensuring quality finishes, and supporting the overall auto body repair process. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the automotive repair industry. Pay will be commissioned based/ flat rate

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces using hand tools and power tools
• Support auto painting processes such as paint spraying and buffing to achieve high-quality finishes
• Handle heavy lifting of parts and vehicles safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with technicians on auto estimating and customer service tasks to ensure client satisfaction

Requirements

• Knowledge of auto painting/prep work/ masking.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, paint spraying equipment, and buffing techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of auto body repair processes
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Good customer service skills are a plus for interacting with clients and team members
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the auto body shop setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
