Accountant (Cost Focus)
Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Position Overview
We are looking for an Accountant with exposure to cost, inventory or fixed asset accounting who is eager to grow within a collaborative and tight-knit team. This role offers a strong mix of traditional accounting responsibilities along with hands-on involvement in manufacturing cost processes.
The team is highly supportive, making this a great opportunity for someone who may not have deep cost accounting experience yet but has the foundation and attitude to learn quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, including bank accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support inventory accounting, including valuation, WIP analysis, and variance review
- Analyze manufacturing-related financial data and investigate discrepancies
- Handle intercompany and multi-site transactions and reconciliations
- Assist with sales & use tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Contribute to audits and ad hoc financial projects
- Review operational reports and flag accounting-related insights
What They’re Looking For
- Experience with cost accounting, OR
- Exposure to inventory, fixed assets, or manufacturing accounting, with willingness to learn cost accounting
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working within ERP systems
- Solid understanding of general ledger and accounting fundamentals
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
