The Atlantic Group has partnered with a private equity firm in the Midtown, Manhattan area. They have an immediate need for an Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the possibility to become permanent based on performance.
Position Summary
• Timely processing of accounts payable transactions with intercompany allocations, including review and processing of monthly travel and expense reimbursements for employees and operating partners
• Rebilling allocated expenses and follow up for collection when necessary
• Contribute to the month/quarter/year-end close process by reconciling accounts in a timely manner and maintaining schedules supporting financial statements, including expense accruals and prepaid expenses
• Preparation and review of fund capital call/distribution notices and capital account statements
• Maintain procedure manuals and checklists for all assigned functions
• Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements
• Provide audit support to teammates
Work Schedule: 5 days in office to start
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field OR a solid understanding of accounting principles gained through professional experience
• Private equity, private credit, or other financial services experience
• Familiarity with Netsuite
• Ability to clearly communicate and express oneself orally and in writing in a clear, mature and professional manner and work effectively as a member of team
• Intermediate or beyond Excel skills and the aptitude to quickly learn through self-study/classes and coaching from teammates
• Experience with multi-entity organizations with expense allocations
