Equity Analyst Full Time

About the Role:

We are partnered with a leading hedge fund who are seeking Long/Short Equity Analysts with sector expertise in New York.

Here, you will be working directly with your PM to generate investment ideas, conducting in-depth research and diligence into companies across sub-sectors, modelling, and attending industry events & conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the PM to develop unique, fundamentally driven investment ideas as a sector specialist.
• Perform comprehensive fundamental analysis, financial modeling, and company due diligence.
• Maintain detailed coverage of names within your coverage, tracking key business and market developments.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and management meetings to gather insights and build networks.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a buy-side position, ideally with exposure to long/short strategies.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental equity analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and research skills with a keen interest in industry trends.
• Ability to think independently and present well-reasoned investment theses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with industry experts and executives.
