The primary responsibility of this position is to perform on-site observations, evaluate, investigate, review, and assist the blind vendors in operating their respective facilities.
MAJOR DUTIES
Qualifications
Applicant must have one (1) year of Specialized Experience at the next lower grade level. Three (3) years of related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform work affecting the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation of facilities for licensed blind managers and vendors.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Work Experience/Knowledge Required
Knowledge of the Randolph-Sheppard Vending Facility Program (RSVFP).
Knowledge of facilities operations, food services, and understanding of equipment sufficient to support the operations of the vending facilities associated with the Randolph Sheppard Vending Facilities Program.
Knowledge of Federal and District laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures associated with the RSVFP.
Knowledge of the operational differences between the various types of facilities, e.g., snack bars, delicatessens, cafes, gift and card shops, convenience stores, fresh express, coffee express, micro markets, and lounges, is sufficient to provide technical assistance to the vendors and program staff.
Skill in written and oral communication.
Ability to use general office automation software and equipment.

This position is in the collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME Local 2401.
