Pay: $25.00-$28.00 hourly, depending on experience level

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (hours flexible) with on-call rotation (very rare that you have to come in outside normal hours. Most on-call tasks can be completed remotely)

We are hiring a direct-hire Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility. This company pioneered the industry and was the first independent company in the world to focus solely on medical device materials for safety.

We are seeking an individual who has facility maintenance experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment specifically.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building engineering systems and laboratory equipment on a scheduled basis and in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Inspects HVAC units for proper operation and performs adjustments as required.
• Performs basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures.
• Performs basic electrical installation and repair work and checks the functionality of safety systems.
• Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks. Cleans and inspects boilers and treats water with proper chemicals.
• Assists with unscheduled repairs/troubleshooting of building and laboratory equipment.
• Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including, but not limited to, mowing trimming, weeding, planting etc.
• Assist in all phases of project work involving moving, remodeling and equipment installation.
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• May need to respond to emergency calls after scheduled working hours, weekends, and holidays.

May pick up parts and supplies at local vendors.

What makes you a great fit:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree and/or equivalent industry/trade training (e.g. apprenticeship program) preferred.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of related maintenance experience required within an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Siemens Building Automation System and Square D Lighting System.
• Working knowledge of building renovation including framing, drywall, wiring, building codes, computer/phone cabling, T-Bar suspension ceiling and painting.
• Animal testing of small and large animals is done onsite. Candidates need to be comfortable working around this controlled environment.
• Clean driving record to use a company vehicle.
