Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Intake in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations with strong customer service and communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while contributing to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Support employees, visitors, and delivery personnel with directions, check-in procedures, and other security-related inquiries while maintaining professional site standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
