Director of Manufacturing Engineering Full Time

Our client is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead their engineering team, drive product innovation, and ensure high-quality, reliable designs. This role oversees all engineering operations, collaborates across functions, and helps shape product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering staff, managing performance and professional development.
• Oversee product development, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Apply engineering tools such as FMEA, DOE, and DFMs to ensure product quality.
• Conduct analysis of competitive products and industry trends to maintain technical excellence.
• Facilitate project planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Support safety, environmental compliance, and ISO 14000 standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (MSME or MBA preferred).
• 10–15 years of engineering experience, including progressive Tier 1 supplier experience and 5+ years in management.
• Expertise in mechanical design, test engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen.
