Credentialing Coordinator Full Time NEW

One of the country’s largest healthcare organizations is searching for a Credentialing Coordinator to join their credentialing team in a highly flexible, hybrid or remote role depending on your location. In this pivotal position, you’ll play a key part in ensuring healthcare providers meet compliance standards, supporting quality patient care, and collaborating with multiple departments. This exciting opportunity to drive seamless credentialing processes begins as an initial 3 month W2 contract offering competitive benefits, remote flexibility, and the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position!

Work arrangement details: If you’re within 40 miles of the Farmer’s Branch, Texas office, you’ll commute onsite every other Tuesday (twice a month); otherwise, this role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Screen and review credentialing and reappointment applications for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct primary source verification and validate provider credentials and documents.
• Ensure all credentialing information meets organizational and regulatory standards, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, gaps, or issues in provider data and escalate concerns as needed.
• Track application progress and maintain accurate records in the credentialing database.
• Communicate with providers, internal teams, and external partners to address credentialing inquiries and ensure timely processing.
• Prepare and submit verification requests, manage high-volume application workflow, and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Stay current on industry guidelines through ongoing professional development and assist with special credentialing projects as needed.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous credentialing experience in a healthcare, insurance, or medical staff services environment.
• Knowledge of credentialing standards and regulations, such as NCQA, federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Experience with credentialing databases (MD-Staff experience preferred).
• Familiarity with CAQH and Google Suite is a plus.
• NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or eligibility within 2 years is highly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and data accuracy.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities, with the capability to multitask and manage sensitive information professionally.
