Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Asphalt Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction projects. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals. Private & Prevailing wage employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate various asphalt equipment.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on roller machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the operation of additional heavy equipment such as dump trucks, front loaders, and graders when needed.
• Conduct utility locating tasks to avoid damage to underground utilities during operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Asphalt industry.
• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment, loaders, dozers, and graders is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications for operating heavy machinery are a plus.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with construction work.
