What Youll Learn
Over the course of 10 weeks, apprentices will gain foundational knowledge and practical skills in:
HVAC system components and functions
Basic electricity and wiring for HVAC
Refrigeration cycle and principles
Safety protocols and OSHA standards
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
Use of tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment
Reading blueprints and technical diagrams
Customer service and workplace professionalism
Class and Lab Format
Classroom Instruction (50%): Led by experienced instructors, covering theory, codes, and industry best practices.
Lab Training (50%): Hands-on experience with real HVAC equipment in a controlled environment to simulate field conditions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Strong interest in HVAC or skilled trades
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments
Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
Reliable transportation to training site
