Qualifications
(For GS-11) I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
(For GS-11) In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Resume Must Demonstrate The Following Specialized
Experience as a specialized system administrator not limited to but to include expert installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of various operating systems.
Experience implementing software upgrades ensures that all enterprise systems remain secure, functional, and up to date with the latest patches.
Experience analyzing and defining network requirements allows for the seamless integration of hardware and software within complex environments.
Experience diagnosing and resolving network problems demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining high system uptime and reliability.
Experience managing Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) bandwidth requirements ensures optimal data flow and minimal latency for all users.
Experience configuring and optimizing network servers, firewalls, routers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and switches provides a robust and secure architecture.
Experience meeting and maintaining rigorous qualifications, such as those outlined in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce and Department of Navy policies, will be achieved within nine months of hire.
Experience implementing industry-standard security protocols is evidenced by a CompTIA Security+ certification, currently held or to be obtained within the first year of employment.

Military Spouse Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ). A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
