Description
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing items. performs diversified tasks with responsibilities for shipping and receiving procedures. Serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
Primary responsibilities include:
Check bills of lading for accuracy.
Process all inbound and outbound orders as trucks arrive and depart.
Prepares all shipping documents and correspondence pertaining to the work of the department in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form professionally and effectively with co-workers, departments, drivers, customers, and vendors as well.
Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, procedures and reporting as required.
Reviews and prepares reports; selects and interprets information to be included, ensures accuracy of all documents, and will be required to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Coordinating assigned shipping and receiving tasks to expedite an order, process a transaction or ship a product, to include arranging the loading/unloading of products, and customer orders to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Execute all safety procedures and standards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education : no minimum education requirements.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
Must pass drug screen and background check, as condition of employment.
