Engineering Director Full Time NEW

Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering and technical operations across the company’s property portfolio. This role ensures the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and infrastructure.

Also responsible to develop maintenance strategies, manage engineering teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset value and tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all engineering operations across multiple properties, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all building systems (MEP, HVAC, elevators, fire safety systems, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning for engineering projects and maintenance activities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with property managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure efficient operations and timely project delivery.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across the portfolio.
• Handle emergency response planning and crisis management related to technical/building issues.
• Monitor system performance using KPIs and implement improvements where necessary.
• Support asset enhancement and renovation projects from a technical perspective.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, facilities management, or property management.
• At least 7 years in a leadership or senior management role.
• Experience managing multiple properties or large-scale developments is highly preferred.
