We are looking for a Pipe and Module Fabrication Commercial Strategies Supply Chain Manager in Houston, Texas, who will support our Life Sciences North America industrial pharmaceutical project site who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. You’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, and ensure the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team and our planet. The Pipe, Steel, and Module Fabrication Commercial Strategies Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies related to fabrication projects (structural steel, piping systems, modules, skids, etc.), ensuring profitability, competitiveness, and alignment with client and market demands.
This role supports large, capital intensive life science facilities and partners closely with project leadership and Life Sciences Project Supply Chain teams to drive optimal sourcing and contracting outcomes.

Responsibilities will include:
Commercial Strategy Development
o Define pricing strategies, bid positioning, and market entry approaches for fabrication projects.
o Analyze competition and market trends to optimize win rates.
Estimating & Proposal Leadership
o Oversee cost estimation, RFQs, and bid packages.
o Partner with engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams to develop accurate proposals.
Contract & Risk Management
o Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
o Change Order Management
o Identify and mitigate commercial risks (scope creep, escalation clauses, supply volatility)
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
o Act as the commercial interface with clients during pre-award and early execution.
o Build long-term client relationships to drive repeat business.
Financial Performance
o Ensure projects meet margin and revenue targets.
o Support forecasting, pipeline reporting, and backlog strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Aligning with operations, project management, and supply chain to ensure commercial commitments are realistic and executable.
Bachelor's degree in construction, or other equivalent degree; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
25 + years of experience in capital construction contracting is required.
Experience using SAP, Unifier, and MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Exhibits planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines
Demonstrated ability to see a project through to completion
Ideally you will have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) is required
Ability to work as part of a team
