Full Job Description
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance, equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of maintenance issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, tools and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing
- Perform general facility repairs including lighting, doors, minor carpentry and painting
- Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4+ years of general maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical, 120 & 240 electrical and plumbing
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills for work order tracking
Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
