Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Entry-Level Information Technology Support Specialist at Universidade do Minho. The specialist will be responsible for providing technical support for end-users, troubleshooting issues related to software and hardware, and managing desktop computers and IT systems. They will respond to help desk inquiries, diagnose technical problems, and provide effective solutions, contributing to the seamless operation of the university’s IT infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Support and Help Desk Support; ability to assist users and resolve technical issues effectively
- Skills in Troubleshooting and problem resolution for a variety of IT-related challenges
- Understanding of Desktop Computers and basic hardware configurations
- Knowledge of Information Technology principles and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist diverse users and ensure effective collaboration
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of networking concepts is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
