Fleet Monitoring Assistant Full Time

Job Summary:

The Fleet Monitoring Assistant is responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the movement of company vehicles using GPS tracking systems. This role ensures fleet efficiency, safety compliance, and timely communication of vehicle status to relevant departments. The clerk plays a key role in identifying irregularities, supporting logistics coordination, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor real-time GPS tracking systems for all company vehicles.
• Track vehicle locations, routes, and schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
• Identify and report unusual activities such as excessive idling, or speeding.
• Communicate with drivers to provide directions, instructions, or updates when needed.
• Generate periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on fleet performance and utilization.
• Coordinate with dispatch, logistics, and mechanics regarding vehicle status and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
• Assist in emergency response by providing location data during breakdowns or incidents.
• Create and update databases with vehicle information, trip details, and maintenance alerts and records.
• Report GPS system issues or malfunctions to technical support teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience in logistics, fleet management, or dispatch operations is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of GPS tracking systems and fleet monitoring software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm. Additional hours may be required

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
