Position Summary
Allied Machinery Richland LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Wood Pattern Repair Technician to support foundry production operations. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining foundry patterns, core boxes, and related tooling used in the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair damaged wood, metal, plastic, and urethane foundry patterns
- Perform maintenance on core boxes and production tooling
- Inspect patterns for wear, dimensional accuracy, and defects
- Sand, grind, patch, fill, and refinish tooling surfaces as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assist with pattern modifications and engineering changes
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, and measuring equipment
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance departments
- Maintain organized tooling storage and documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- Previous foundry, woodworking, machining, fabrication, or maintenance experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required
- Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
- Welding or machining experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Working Conditions
- Industrial foundry environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment
- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement required throughout shift
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
