Role Description
As a Full-Time Literary Assistant based on-site in New York, NY, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of Trident Media Group. Responsibilities include managing schedules, maintaining client communications, handling correspondence, assisting with manuscript submissions, liaising with publishers, and conducting industry research. You will support agents in fostering relationships with existing authors while helping discover and assess new talent. Attention to detail, efficiency, and strong organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to manage schedules, correspondence, and project deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with experience in professional email and phone correspondence.
- Proficiency in manuscript formatting, proofreading, and editing processes, ensuring high-quality presentation of materials.
- Research and analytical skills, especially to assess new manuscripts and monitor industry trends.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, authors, and publishing partners.
- Experience in publishing, media, or related industries is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Publishing, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.
