Rooted, stable heavy equipment manufacturer is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead. As the Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead, you will oversee a small team and will report to the VP of Operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:
As as a Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead, you will spend up to 50% of the day on the manufacturing floor. Successful candidates will have drive, be able to work independently, be self-directed, enjoy floor time, be able to create “buy-in” on the floor and have the desire to grow with the company. REQUIREMENTS for the Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, ideally engineering and/or operations
3. Experience working in fabrication, welding and/or paint manufacturing environments
4. Experience supervising or providing daily direction to others
5. Working knowledge of standard operating procedures
6. Experience supporting root case analysis and corrective actions
7. Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
8. Mechanical aptitude
9. Ability to read blueprints
10. Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. OEM experience
2. Working knowledge of ERP systems
3. Job shop environments
4. QMS environments, such as ISO 9001, etc.
5. AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling
6. 5WHY experience
