Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong background in the financial services domain, preferably in payments technology. In this role, you will design, develop, and support high-performance, scalable applications while working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for building secure, resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality Java-based applications.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and system designs.
• Write clean, efficient, and secure production-level code; perform code reviews and debugging.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and ensure system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to building microservices-based architecture and cloud-native solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development with strong focus on Java.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, OOP concepts, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of Agile SDLC and tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, JUnit, and Selenium.
• Ability to design scalable and high-performance systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in banking or payments domain (highly preferred).
• Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Experience with reactive programming (Spring WebFlux) and streaming frameworks (Spark/Storm).
• Familiarity with NoSQL/Big Data technologies like Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or HBase.
• Exposure to building highly available, resilient systems with load balancing and clustering.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in leading Agile teams or mentoring junior developers.
• Prior experience working in large enterprise environments.
