As Chef De Rang in Remy , you will provide outstanding guest service and create a dining experience like no other. This French-inspired luxury restaurant serves gastronomic cuisine crafted by best-in-class Michelin star chefs.
You will report to the Maître d ‘Hotel
Responsibilities :
How You Will Make a Difference
Detailed menu description to guests, take orders and then set table for each course
Coordinate service and ensure accurate timing and delivery of food to the proper table and guest
Lead all aspects of all side work and other tasks assigned by Management
Use computer work station (Micros system)
Coordinate the ordering, pick-up and delivery of all food and beverage to work station and to Guests
Partner with Demi Chef de Rang to provide a flawless experience to the Guests
Understand food safety programs and maintain USPH (United States Public Health) sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout work area
Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
Follow all responsible vendor procedures for alcohol service
Bid fond farewell to all guests and ensure they enjoyed their dining experience
Basic Qualifications :
What You Will Bring to the Team
Minimum one year (two years recommended) recent experience in the service industry in a high-level fine dining restaurant setting
Experience in Michelin Star restaurant
Good knowledge of international wines and cocktail recipes, and brands of alcohol
Confident in speaking to well-traveled guests
Additional Information :
This is a SHIPBOARD role.
You must:
Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations
Your Responsibilities:
Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman’s visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
Complete a pre-employment medical
Obtain a criminal background check
Bring approved work shoes
