Imagery Scientist -SAR Full Time NEW

Reithorp Solutions is seeking mid-senior level Imagery Scientists (SAR) to support upcoming/contingent work with the NGA customer. ***These positions are contingent upon contract award***

Location: DMV Area

Shift: Day M-F

Responsibilities:

· Contractor will Support NGA’s Assurance and Governance Office (QA) Accreditation of AI Models (AGAIM) program.

· Staff will identify and acquire imagery in support of Level 3 Accreditation—the application of the AI algorithm to operational imagery data sets to ensure it works as intended—efforts.

· The Contractor will serve as experts in their respective image modality and prepare imagery of the necessary quality, standards, and requirements.

· The Contactor will develop solutions that are informed by the specific phenomenology limitations and advantages of the sensors and platforms.

Qualifications:

Mid-level requires:

• Experience with SAR imagery analytical products and conducting multi-​INT analysis
• Experience using unstructured, structured, and semi-structured data and visualization tools to exploit data through use of programming and scripting
• Experience applying advanced geospatial skills
• Desired: Experience working with or developing machine learning algorithms for exploiting overhead imagery and/or motion imagery

Senior-level requires minimum of 4 years experience:

• Experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products
• Experience with SAR imagery quality metrics and sensor metadata
• Experience exploiting SAR to determining the occurrence and location of OOI
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR
• Exhibit an understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods

Expert -level requires minimum 6 + years experience:

• Experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products
• Experience with SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox
• Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint)
• Experience exploiting SAR to determining the occurrence and location of an OOI
• Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR
• Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods
• Desired: Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery

All positions:

• CI Poly Desired (willingness to take CI poly if candidate does not already have one)

Pay: $85,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year
