What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Answer, orient, and greet patients over the phone, dedicating 100% of work time to calls and appointment scheduling
• Schedule patients into the Vision system based on appropriate clinic locations
• Collect and document required demographic, insurance, and eligibility information accurately
• Verify insurance pre-certification requirements and initiate the referral process
• Maintain professional relationships and provide timely responses to inquiries regarding patient accounts

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School graduate with formal training from a vocational school or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or centralized scheduling environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines with urgency
• Knowledge of general medical terminology and managed care functions

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and the Vision system
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Teams)
