Sales Service Manager Full Time

Reports To: Sr. VP of Sales

Job Summary

This is a position located at the general office of Riverence Provisions LLC. This person works within the organization managing and facilitating customer orders. Riverence is a fully vertically integrated company controlling all aspects of its food business from inception to market.

Essential Functions

• Manage the securing of orders from customers and fielding any complaints that they have with the primary goal of customer retention.
• Manage potential customer samples.
• Communicate pricing, provide product information, coordinate deviated delivery sched-ules, handle complaints using discretion to appease customers in each unique circum-stance based on their best judgment in a timely manner to retain customers.
• Provide timely follow-up with necessary company departments.
• Handle a number of accounts and strive to build a healthy business relationship with buy-ers speaking with many at least weekly.
• Make significant decisions negotiating prices, obligating the company to freight costs, etc.
• Negotiate price with other customers on misrouted products.
• Investigate shipment claims to determine fault.
• Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
• Field inquiries from potential customers and work with Regional Managers for follow-up.
• Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned.
• Work cooperatively with others promoting a team environment.

Requirements

• Associate Degree preferred.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Knowledge of software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
• Proficient at spelling, punctuation, grammar and oral communication.
• Discretion, good judgment and organizational abilities required.
• Initiative and the ability to work independently.
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
• Ability to communicate in order to adhere to safety standards.
• Ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer issues.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with deadlines.

• This job frequently involves sedentary and light work: Ability to exert force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• The worker will be required to have a range of motion as follows:
• Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
• Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas or important instructions accurately.
• Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
• Lifting is required on an occasional basis.
• Repetitive Motions are required which involve substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not manage employees, however this position manages customers and makes independent business decisions of significance.

Typical Environmental Conditions

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
