Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical crews on construction and renovation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project progression.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations and local safety standards.
• Manage material inventories, order supplies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Mentor apprentices and junior electricians while fostering a safe work environment that emphasizes best practices in electrical safety.

Qualifications

• Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience as a foreman or lead electrician on commercial or industrial projects.
• Extensive industrial electrician experience combined with strong commercial electrical skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings; familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting industrial control systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing devices like ohmmeters.
• Construction site experience with renovation projects; ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
• Knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring techniques, and safety protocols for construction sites.
• Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks or handyman work as needed for project support.
