About us
The company is a buy-side M&A advisory firm that helps executives and business owners acquire companies in the $1M–$30M range. We serve 100+ active buyers and generate massive deal flow through proprietary systems, high-volume outreach, and deep broker relationships. Our clients come to us—we bring them the opportunities and guide them through acquisition.
The Opportunity
We have the infrastructure: a steady stream of qualified buyers, proprietary deal sourcing systems, and a sales team converting leads daily. What we need is someone who knows how to drive buy-side deals from LOI to close—someone who's been in the trenches on lower middle market acquisitions and understands SBA financing inside and out.
This is not a passive advisory role. You'll be the engine that pushes deals forward—navigating SBA compliance, structuring creative financing, managing seller negotiations, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. We bring you the clients and the deal flow. You bring the expertise and the hunger to close.
Responsibilities
• Own full-cycle buy-side advisory: deal validation and screening, LOI submission, due diligence, SBA packaging, negotiation, and close
• Structure creative acquisition financing—SBA 7(a) loans, seller notes, earnouts, forgivable notes, and equity rollovers
• Navigate SBA compliance requirements including licensing, insurance, and eligibility issues
• Drive deals forward with urgency—proactively problem-solve roadblocks and keep all parties moving toward close
• Manage broker relationships and seller negotiations to secure favorable terms for buyers
• Collaborate with internal team on deal pipeline, buyer matching, and transaction execution
• Report directly to the Managing Partner on deal status, pipeline health, and growth opportunities
Requirements
• Proven buy-side M&A experience at an advisory firm, search fund, family office, or PE firm
• Track record closing deals in the $1M–$30M range (lower middle market)
• Deep experience with SBA 7(a) loan transactions—you understand the process, the pitfalls, and how to get deals approved
• Hands-on experience structuring acquisitions with seller financing, earnouts, and creative deal terms
• Hungry, driven, and relentless—you don't wait for deals to happen, you make them happen
• Strong communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders: buyers, sellers, brokers, lenders, and attorneys
Nice to Have
• Experience with specific verticals: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, trucking, or other service- based businesses
• Existing relationships with SBA lenders, business brokers, or intermediaries
• Background working with first-time acquirers or corporate executives transitioning to ownership
Compensation
• Base: $100,000
• Commission: 30% of success fees on closed deals
• We bring the clients—you focus on closing deals
• 1099 role
