Role Description
The National Sales Director will lead sales execution and retail growth for assigned accounts and territories. This full-time, on-site role in Kennesaw, GA is responsible for developing and delivering sales strategy, managing key customer relationships, driving forecast accuracy and operational discipline, and leading internal and external teams to hit revenue and profitability targets.
This role partners closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to align account plans, launches, promotions, inventory, and service readiness.
Key Responsibilities
* Own annual sales plan, account strategy, and execution for assigned retailers/channels
* Lead negotiations, promotions, assortment reviews, and line reviews to drive growth and margin
* Drive forecast cadence and S&OP collaboration to improve service levels and inventory health
* Identify new channel opportunities and develop go-to-market plans
* Manage budgets, pricing, and profitability targets; ensure disciplined deal governance
* Monitor market/competitive trends and translate insights into action
Qualifications
* 7+ years of sales experience, including retail/account management and channel strategy
* Proven track record of driving sales growth and building retailer relationships
* Strong financial acumen (P&L, margin, pricing, budgeting, trade spend)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; strong cross-functional leadership
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
* Experience in lawn & garden / outdoor power equipment preferred
* Familiarity with Farm & Ranch and Hardware channels (e.g., ACE and independent hardware ecosystems) preferred
